American actor best remembered for roles in films such as Patton, Dr Strangelove, The Hustler, Taps, The Changeling, Anatomy of a Murder, Petulia, They Might Be Giants, The Hospital and The Exorcist III. In a 1960 interview it mentioned that "He is six feet tall and quite slender but very strong".
